I recently was living in California and was offered an exciting position in Ann Arbor, Michigan. My new job offered me one month before I started to find a place to live and move in. As first time home buyers we were about as clueless as it gets. The bank that we were getting our mortgage through had recommended Barbara. At first, we didn't even realize why we would need a Realtor, it's as simple as finding a house and putting in an offer, right? Wrong, If we did not have Barbara, our home buying experience would have been over before it began. Barbara was the only Realtor we looked into and the only one we needed. She's friendly, kind, funny and truly relatable. As stated above, we did not even know why we needed a Realtor to begin with but working with Barbara she made sure to explain the entire home buying process, even when I asked her 4 times a week. And it's a good thing too because there are more steps than you would think to buying a house. Barbara responded to text, email and phone calls very promptly and made sure to check in every few days when there was a lull in the process. Another reason Barbara has been the best person for us, she has a person for everything. Insurance? Check, Inspector? Check, Appliances? Check. As well as a million other resources you could need. But above everything else listed above, Barbara's best quality as a Realtor, in my opinion is how she advocates for her clients. We found a house we really loved, however, that house came with a pretty lackluster Realtor on the Seller's end. Barbara maintained her professionalism with this other Realtor which is an amazing feat on its own. She made sure to contact him and follow up on every teeny tiny thing that we needed. Even when he was not responding to the original email, she would always follow up with another message, sometimes two or three times. She handled it wonderfully and it was amazing to witness. I cannot say enough good things about Barbara. She really made the home buying process a breeze and we are still in contact. She truly wants the best for her clients and it shows in her stellar work ethic. It's a bittersweet day when you close on your house. On one hand you're a homeowner, but on the other hand it's almost like losing a friend.
